The first step in creating a new website (or making-over an old one) is determining whether you'd like to be able to do your own updates. I am available to teach you how to navigate the back end of a Wordpress website so you can keep it updated and add to it as needed. I'm also available to do parts of it myself, if you'd prefer.
Step two in setting up a website with Wordpress is figuring out the basic layout you need. By sending me examples of websites you like, or even drawing a basic layout on paper and sending me a picture, I can find some options for your site's theme. We'll decide on a theme and purchase it if necessary. Then we can get to work customizing it. The cost for a wordpress site depends on the amount of customization and the size (number of pages) of the website. A simple site of about 5 pages (Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact) typically costs about $500.
If you would like a website that does not utilize Wordpress (like this one), I can customize a site for you and maintain it for you, unless you are familiar with HTML and CSS and would like to do that yourself. Using a template for the layout, I can create a design and have it online very quickly. You just tell me the basic layout you want and the features that are important to you, and I'll design the front page. When you're satisfied with it, I'll add the rest of your site with the content you provide. This method typically costs about $300 to get the website online.
If you have a very specific layout in mind, you may choose to start from scratch. In this case, you'll give me as much detail as possible about what you need, and I'll design a mockup of what your site will look like, and then write the code to make it into a website. The time required for websites from scratch varies greatly, so the cost is typically $700 to $1000 to get the website online. A very extensive website with many pages, or a full store with shopping cart and products will likely run around $2000 or more.
Again, every project is unique, and I can work with your budget to make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
